Advent Devo - Day 10

Verse: For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:13-14)


Meditation: Though we are born with a sinful nature, we also are born stamped with the image of God. More than that, by the sheer fact of our existence—the biological complexities of human life—we are a testament to the glory of God. We are his workmanship.


Prayer: Father, thank you that you have made these children and that you have blessed them with your image. Grant that we should look on them and see you. Fill our hearts with love for them, and lay upon them the blessing of your presence. Grant them to grow into the image of Christ Jesus our Lord. In his name we pray. Amen.
