Advent Devo - Day 2

Verse: "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your heard, and you shall bruise his heel.” (Genesis 3:15)

Meditation: God has taught us to look for the promise of a child from the beginning. We were meant to learn how to wait patiently, expectantly, and to look for something unassuming and unpretentious. Such is a seed to the plant it produces. And so is the power of the gospel in our lives. How might you orient yourself to God’s quiet, slow work in your children?

Prayer: Father, please grant our parents the patience that they need to look for and to foster the sweet gospel spirit in our children. Please help turn our herts expectantly towards you and towards your work in their lives. And grant us to plant fresh gospel seeds in them today. Amen.
