Evening Prayer: Libya

ree

Political unrest and disorganization leave Christians at the mercy of local pressures, including from families and wider clans. Christians who have converted from Islam have no legal protections and are often subjected to oppression and violence as they are called to renounce the faith.

PRAYER: Father, we pray that you would preserve your people amidst the pressure to renounce their faith in Jesus. And please give to them the joy and gladness of knowing that they have a great reward in heaven for their faithful endurance. And bind them to one another by the presence of your Spirit. Grant them the fellowship of the body of believers. And make them to be salt and light in that nation. And give them favor in the sight of Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarrai that they might gain new freedoms to worship and to share the good news of Jesus. (For more further prayers, look to Psalm 27.)
