Morning Prayer

Scripture: “And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49.

Though we have the imperative to go and make disciples, we also seek to work according to God’s plan, his timing. Sometimes it’s difficult to know whether we should go or stay. We must be studious of God’s word and sensitive to the leading of the Spirit to cooperate with God’s mission in the world.

Prayer: Lord, I am often confused about when to speak and when to remain silent, when to go and when to stay, when to act and when to refrain from acting. Forgive me for not knowing your voice better. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight, and tune my ear to the sound of your voice in Scripture and make me sensitive to the leading of your Spirit within me. Amen.
