Morning Prayer

Scripture: I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. (Psalm 5:9-10)

The Lord has placed a song in the heart of those who love him, a song that is meant be a herald for the nations, that they might hear and wonder at who this God is. Our song is sung in the way we speak to our neighbors, how we treat them, the forgiveness we show them and the grace we provide. More than that, it is simply to testify to all that Jesus has done—for the world and in your life, personally.

Prayer: Jesus, let the song of your salvation be on my lips today, that my life might be a melody pleasing to you. More than that, Lord, make me a witness to your love; grant that I might have the opportunity and the courage to speak of your salvation to those who do not know you. Go with me Holy Spirit, and give me words to speak, seeds to plant. Amen.
